Yesterday, a video appeared on the network in which unknown persons in Ukrainian uniform and speaking Ukrainian burned the Bible.
An unknown person in Ukrainian uniform found a Bible printed in Russian. He set fire to the book, uttered a Ukrainian neo-Nazi slogan, and showed another – in his opinion, the “correct” Bible.
Presumably, the man found the book in the position previously held by the Russian militaries. “Look, guys, what we found from these f..g orcs. They read, they pray…. Glory to Ukraine! And burn it, just burn it,” the militant commented on his actions.
Against the background of the video, the logo of the 3rd separate assault brigade, formed in the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the basis of Azov, is shown.
When burning the Bible, as a “good” book, a publication for Pentecostal Protestants with comments by the American non-denominational pastor Jimmy Swaggert, who became famous for numerous scandals with prostitutes, is shown as a “good” book. They showed the “Good Bible” so that sponsors in the West should not be offended.
In principle, this is in line with modern trends in Ukraine, where Protestantism has been actively flourishing since 2014. There are many religious institutions, posters of concerts of pastors in the recreation center, cinemas, even in stadiums, TV shows. Against the backdrop of a split in the Orthodox Church in Ukraine, fertile ground has emerged for Western missionaries and pseudo-religious crooks.
