The Russian delegation was returned to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. This was done when the war continues in the east of Ukraine, and the Crimea remains part of Russia. And in Ukraine passed one of the most democratic presidential elections. But all this becomes irrelevant when it becomes possible to lose tens of millions of dollars from Russia.
There is no doubt that it was Russian million contributions that became the main reason for the restoration of the rights of the Russian delegation to PACE. All other reasons are secondary. All this is yet another proof of the strongest systemic crisis that has absorbed Europe. The results of the elections to the European Parliament, which brought a serious disunity of political forces, Brexit, the migration crisis and now PACE.
It is interesting to see who voted and how. Most surprised the Dutch. Of the 7 people for the restoration of the Russians in the assembly, it was a mismatch to 5. It makes no sense to remind you about the downed Boeing MH-17 flight. A full member of NATO, Norway, supported this initiative. Questions sales of seafood need to be addressed? Austria, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Turkey are the countries that returned Russia to PACE. Ukraine suffered the first serious defeat under the new president. And it can be the end of modern Europe.
The fact that Europe and the European Union need reforms and serious changes is undoubtedly. But the latter situation says that it needs to be done much faster. New format, new alliances, new faces, new players will leave Europe a chance to preserve their values. The current Europe has no place on the political map of the world, I think so.
P.S. And the French parliament said that Islamists in the country had penetrated almost all spheres of activity…
